"Stop talking, negotiating,
Your feeble attempts at world peace
Give me a %#@*ing break
Need worldwide genocide, planetary suicide
And when the whole damn world is dead
there's your %#@*ing peace"
To Dallas: Antonio Davis, Rick Brunson, Mengke Bateer, Ken Johnson
To Toronto: Raef LaFrentz, Steve Nash
Grunwald Analysis: Seriously, what good would come from having a Canadian guy on the team? I don't understand why people keep pressing me to pick up a Canadian guy. We need somebody the crowd can identify with, someone like Rick Brunson
thats hilirous
Raptors Sign Brunson, Clinch NBA Championship
August 13th, 2003
During this NBA off-season it seemed as if the Western Conference had the market cornered on big free agent signings and blockbuster trades but today the balance of power shifted eastward as the Toronto Raptors signed free agent superstar Rick Brunson. This signing should propel the Raptors to the top of the Eastern Conference and make the other NBA franchises sit up and take notice that GM Glen Grunwald isn't resting on his laurels after already landing such basketball luminaries as Jerome Moiso, Milt Palacio, and NBA Champion Mengke Bateer.
Grunwald has this to say about his latest coup: "The Lakers may have signed a couple of creaky old farts but we've got Brunson."
Last season was Rick Brunson's toughest as he fought chronic tendinitis in his right knee all season long. The injury limited Brunson to just 17 games with the Chicago Bulls. Even though hobbled by injury Brunson still managed to post career highs in field-goal percentage, free throw percentage, and blocks. A source close to the Bulls confirmed that had Brunson been healthy all year the Bulls would have been playoff bound.
Despite his injury Brunson still found a way to help out the team by mentoring the Bulls' precocious young basketball prodigies. Under Brunson's tutelage Jamal Crawford enjoyed the finest season of his young career and rookie Jay Williams continued to improve throughout the season as Brunson showed him the ropes of the NBA Big Time. If only Williams had taken Brunson's motorcycle driving lessons a little more seriously. As Williams recovered from his emergency surgery hospital staff recall Williams constantly mumbling, "I'm sorry Rick, I'm sorry."
While there were times last season when the Raptors played like a bunch of stiffs, they have signed the one man who will ensure that the heart of this franchise will never stop beating.

LOL, at his current pace, he would have to play 932 seasons to break Hakeem Olajuwon's Career Blocks record...
