1914 die-clash Buffalo nickel

I bought a raw 1914 nickel form a guy at the antique shops that could very well be
the man depicted in the cartoon King of the Hill, Hank Hill. He even almost sounds like Hank
when he talks. Pretty funny, but thats not what the thread is really about. Nice guy though....
even though he always wears the magnifying visor on his head, he totally missed this cool
die-clash Buff.
The U and R and part of the I and B of E PLURIBUS UNUM on the reverse can be seen on the obverse just under
the Indian`s chin.
I paid no premium as Hank never noted it in the insert nor did he make note of it when I bought it.

Feels good to cherrypick a coin from a dealer sometimes.

Should I go back and show `Hank` what he missed and offer him a few extra bucks for it?

Also, since I,m having trouble uploading pics for show right now ( gotta find camera software disc to reinstall etc.. you know how it is ) does anyone have a pic of one of these error Buffs? Or is what I have kinda scarce and no pics are available?

Nice coin. I have several die clashed pieces, although I'm not sure how much of a premium it adds.

    Error collectors would know.

Mild clashes in those areas are pretty common. I they call them "whiskers" because they are under his chin. I don't think there is any premium unless maybe it's pretty severe.

There is no premium for die-clash Buffalos, but they are pretty neat when you can make out the lettering.

    obv

    rev

The obv pic of the coin is actually upsidedown so as you might be able to read it as backwards written.

The rev pic is for reference more or less.

Which letters does it look like were showing on the obverse?

I don't think you owe the seller any more- he set a price and was happy with it. I (unknowingly) cherrypicked a many $100 coin for below its value as a non-variety piece... seller was happy, and I was happy... I'm happier now image

Oh Eric, Nah , I checked that one for sure.

I wonder how many people have eyed this coin looking for the overdate 4/3 and maybe never even looked at the
    whole coin.
