I wonder....

What psa card do you know is out there, but have no idea who owns it and you check ebay for it all the time. Reading the new smr's collector's profile (big KR gets the feature in back to back months, he has some sweet 1of1 80's football cards) his top priority is the only one 1986 topps football rookie psa 10 Reggie White card, it's out there, but where and can it be bought. He talks about how he jumped all over 86 topps Seve young rookie card of pop of 3 as one of his big scores and has yet to see another one even offered. There's quite a few i could list where I wonder if i'll ever see it pop up, but 75 topps Bert Blyeven card in psa 9 is one i've been looking for. I know there are now 2 in that holder, but have never seen it before. Probally one of my better scores was 1984 topps Gary Anderson (1of1 steelers for around $30 and still the only one in a psa 10 holder). Curious to see some of you other's are searching for ......NHLfight guy (just took 20 seconds into this season to get the first scrap going)......

  • Have you tried checking the set registry participants set compositions to see if your card is in anyones set?If you want a card badly enough, make a ridiculous offer and you might be surprised.I would bet better than even money that your 75 Blyleven card is available through one of the set registry guys.Try Vargha for starters.I would even post a thread on the B/S/T message board if you haven't done so.

PSA 9 low pop. commons from 1975 Topps is tough right now. There are a couple of bidders who are more than willing to pay obscene prices for pop. 1 and pop. 2 cards. It can be had in PSA 8 however, for about $10.

This was in an earlier thread:

I do not check eBay for it as I will get wind of it if it ever goes up for public sale.

1965 Topps Charley Smith PSA 9.

(The PSA 8s have gone upwards of $700).

  • 1959 Topps Sievers set HR Mark #465 PSA 9 condition.

It's a common, but part of a cool subset of "Thrills" cards I used to collect in PSA 9 condition.

I've since sold all the other 8 stars that I had in PSA 9 from this subset (to help with the monster downpayment I'm about to drop on my first home), but this would still be a cool card to find. Only 1 out there with no 10s.

No one in the Top 10 has it (of the sets I could search), so it's out there somewhere... *sigh

    1962 Fleer football # 4 Babe Parilli - PSA 8
    1967 Topps football # 131 Speedy Duncan - PSA 8

Both 1 of 1 with none higher. They're not in anyone's registry sets.
They're just sitting out there in someone's garage, going to waste.

Will gladly pay 10 times SMR for either ...

  • I do have 75 bert in a 8 and it's really nice, top 5 card in my psa wing of my collection. Another card I've always been curious of is the 75 topps mini Harmon Killebrew in psa 9 1/1 that would be another card on my I wonder list......NHLfightguy

I would also be interested in :

1971 Topps Greatest Moments PSA 9 Mickey Lolich graded in the last 20 days,

unless it's been trimmed, in which case you can sell it to murcerfan,
since he doesn't seem to care if it's been trimmed or not ...

edited to spell 'to' correctly, since I get it mixed up with 2, two, and too ...

The minis don't have quite the same competition going for them right now.

There's another 1969T PSA 9 #110 Mike Shannon that recently graded. It will be interesting to see who owns that one. Maybe it's another DSL submission?
