    As bad as that is, check out what qualifies as a BCCG 5: 1957 Topps Al Kaline Guess people just like to see high #'s on holders...

    If BCCG 5 is "Poor or better" anyone got any suggestions what 4, 3, 2 or (God forbid) 1 image might be called?

    I just submitted a card that should get a PSA 1 MK, like that football card. This is the second submission to SPA. They did not encapsulate it the first time.

    It is a 1965 Topps Mickey Mantle in very horrible shape.
    It is so bad that I felt that writing on it would not lower the grade.

    So I wrote on it, "Yankees Suck! Go Red Sox!"

    We'll see if they actually slab it....

    To answer your original question, yes it would give you negative points! I created a dummy set with only that card in it. It gave me the stats:
    Percent Complete: .57%
    Average Grade: -1.00
    Set Rating: -0.01

    why does anyone get this card graded
    in that kind of shape... especially just to sell?

    If BCCG 5 is poor, then 1 has to be "reconstituted back to origianl atomic matter" or "more pieces than a jigsaw puzzle"

    I will post it on the board when I get it back in a few days.
    It is pretty beat up. They will get a call from me, though.
    Actaully, I'm calling them right now!

    Let's see what they say...

    I guess they are going with the ol' N9 excuse.
    She said that sometimes it's so beat up, they will not slab it, but they are not stating a specific reason.
