top coins submitted?

David - what is the approximate breakdown of the series accounting for the tremendous submissions PCGS has been experiencing lately? And if you can, where are they comming from?

Hi Rich,

We have seen submissions soar in all service levels. Overall, our volume is about double what it was two years ago. I believe this is a function of the red hot coin market. Every time the market gets hot, people send in more coins for grading.

Specifically, high end, i.e. walk-thrus and show service, submissions of very expensive coins have increased at a huge rate. On the other end of the scale, our submissions for very modern coins are off the charts!

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's more a function of a hot overall market than one particular coin series or area.
