New set to discuss?

Anyone want to name a set that we can disscuss this week? I have that post from the T206's book marked. Amazing how much were all learning here!

    How about Old Judge?
No such details will spoil my plans...
  • How about the most popular set on the registry........1975 Topps baseball with no fewer than 104 sets already registered.
Soon to considered vintage I believe (depending on what constitutes vintage), yet recent enough for many members to have childhood memories of. This is a set I've been considering having a go at myself.
I was 9 when this set was issued but being in the UK I remember collecting the Topps UK equivalent Football set (or soccer as most of you call it!). Consisting of 220 cards (red back) plus an extra 88 cards of Scottish footballers (blue back) the latter being issued separately in Scotland, the UK version has the same funky coloured borders. I reckon the cards seem to suit baseball players better although the 70's Footballers had some weird hairstyles (just remembering the biggest geek and mad hair posts from before lol)!
I've heard these baseball cards are difficult in high grade due to the borders chipping easily, is this correct? Also the end numbers seem to be highly prized in top condition.
    Thoughts or recollections?

    103 sets . . . 68 below 10%, 12 between 10-20%, 9 between 21-49% and 14 at 50% or better.
  • Thanks David,
I was looking through the category summary and noticed that '75 Topps had the most registrants. I didn't check the stats just reckoned that as this set is the most popular registry wise then perhaps more members would have something to say about it.
