"DISC-O FEVER".. hits the Registry......

Well sports fans..Looks like another fun filled, action packed ride for the oddball collectors, like myself...

More and more comments about those crazy little "discs" put out by MSA and asso. during 1976 and 1977.

I've been watching it for awhile, and I'm jumping in ..Both feet...

Check out eBay item #2756519015...A dandy Pete Rose in a pretty tough series ..Dairy Isle...

I expect this disc will go $135.00 or so..

I also see that Disc sets are popping up on the "new Registry list"..

Holiday Inn, Zip'z, Carousel........I can't wait to start.

GO Disco !!!!

(Machodoc...when are you going to send in those cherry "Towne Club" discs..???..)

  • Larry I started looking at discs recently as well. Have some nice sets going into PSA - Buckmans, Wiffle Discs, and Big T / TAstee Freeze.... Jeff

Maybe we can get the Disco Duck as a mascot?

I just listed my 1976 Crane Disc Football set on the registry last week, so I guess I'm in the Disc-O club too. Maybe I'll change my name to...... Chief Crane, or Chief Chipdiscs, ... yea, and maybe I'll start a "C-Club" and we could drink Cool-aid, ... yea.... and wear Chiphead hats, and get T-shirts with Cranes on them, and.....

Oopps, I'm sorry.... was I saying that out loud.

You could call yourself the "Disc-tator"
collecting various PSA and SGC cards

I think I will save the grading fees on the Towne Club discs for my 1952 Topps set, which I am thinking about sending in for grading. Still, my TC set is pretty sharp. I do remember however that once way back in the smoky haze of the 1970's that my cousin used them as coasters so our beers wouldn't get his K-Mart furniture all water stained!

PS - I hate "moral victories", but my Mounties sure gave Miami a fright last night...

I don't know if you collect football, or not? But I do have a lovely set of PSA 9 coasters for the 1976 Crane Disc football issue if you need any.

Also, I found a 54 card set of 1973 Baseball Pro Super Stars (Visual Panographics Inc) cards I had stored away..... that look really sweet. Are these Kellogg's cards? If so, how is 1973 doing compared to the other baseball years? Is it tougher, easier, any big time SP's, low pops, etc.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I'm almost certain I have a few sets of the 7-Eleven Discs and some Salada Coins stored away. Wasn't Joe Montana on one of the 7-Eleven discs? Maybe I'll go hunt them down... and keep this disc thing going.
