Has anyone else noticed this about 03-04 Ex basketball?

How horrible some of the cards are cut. I bought some today and there were many many terrible cut cards couple had cracks all over none of the rookies i recieved were like this but id say about 90% of the base cards out of the packs I bought today were just plain awful im definetly sending them back for replacements.... Let me know if anyone else has had this problem or if I just came upon a bad run

someone mentioned opening a box on here and finding something like 15 cracked cards. EX cards have always been somewhat condition sensitive (like UD victory, UD superstars, etc.), but you'd think they'd have the "quality control" issue down pat at least to the point where cards don't arrive cracked first time you open them out of the pack.

yeah I agree you think they would but again fleer shows its flaws

Yeah I opened a few packs and the cards had cracks and some are cut, but mine aren't that bad cut...

Its only the base ive noticed like this none of the rookies ive seen have been like this unless your lookn for base cards then you will be ok

E-X has always had these kind of problems. I think because the cards are too thick.

like fleer cares! The only thing that helps is sending the cards back and demanding mint ones...if
they send you garbage then you keep sending them back until they run out of cards and start
replacing them with autographs, or they get you mint cards.

Not to be one to go against what everyone is saying but I don’t mind that cards are coming out cracked, chipped or off centered. In a modern era of card collecting that can be a huge plus. If these cards are condition sensitive then the prices of higher graded cards will go up. Just look at 1998 SPX basketball. The cards looked like crap coming out of packs with chipping all over the back edges. How about the Arod SP RC or the Jeter SP RC….foil with chipping on the edges.

The EX cards have always had issues with some of the worst coming in 97 & 2000….the chipping was just horrible. 98 had a cutting issue with many of the cards having damage on the base or where the die cut meets the edge of the card (yes I had a Paul Pierce missing his foot, a Bonzi Wells with a miscut foot)

Anyways, if you get something worth while (like a Lebron or nice RC) and it’s damaged, contact fleer and I’m sure they will send you a better one. Might take awhile but you will get your card (call to complain if it hasn’t arrived every week….it works) The one good thing is once the time to replace damaged cards has expired, all the sealed boxes could have Mint cards or damaged cards…(just like the old days with wax stains..) There’s alittle more risk with condition but if you get that high grade card, you will make more money on it.

I’ve opened a few packs of this stuff and I love it, my favourite product by far…(upper deck stuff hasn’t really impressed me, especially with my pulls from SP Game Used…)
