One of my favorite coins.

I just got an upgrade for my 1914D cent. I had a VG one for a long time. I have always been fascinated by the 14D cent for some reason, it just seems to have more mystique to it than the 09S-VDB. Maybe it's just me. I really do like key dates. image

Looks like a nice, honest, original coin. Very nice! A hard date to find without lots of damage when it's less than MS.

My late uncle was able to put together a complete wheat cent set from circulation, with the exception of the 1914-D. He found the 09SVDB while a soldier stateside in WWII. He always said the 14-D was the most difficult coin to find in circulation.

I don't know what it is about them. If I hoarded a single coin this would be it.
