  • I bought that book and have read about half of it. It is a very interesting book if want to know some history behind the Comstock Lode. I really enjoyed what I have read so far. I would highly recommend the book.image

  • You won't be disapointed,I bought the book last year at a coin show.

  • The first few chapters read like a novel, the rest like a dissertation and a price guide is thrown haphazardly in the middle. Informative but put me to sleep on more than a few occasions.
  • For Forum memberss only, I can sell this book for $12.00 postpaid. Saves you a bunch. New-unread. Thanks

The book is acceptable. The first part is interesting but the last part drags on forever. It took me over a year to read the book because I put it down repeatedly to read other books. I think the pictures are fascinating as are the descriptions of the mines and miners. But much of the book is tedious. For $12, the book is worthwhile. I think it's also worthwhile for $30, but just barely.
