in San Francisco - a really great coin shop

It has been mentioned on here before, but today was the first time I could drop by Witter Coins at 582 Market, 14th floor. I have hated the experiences I have had at shops in the Bay Area, but today it all changed. What a great place, and great guy as well. Seems to grade fairly, and had what seemed to me to be very fair pricing. I recommend those in the Bay Area to stop by if you find yourself near Market and 2nd.

Witter is a real fun spot. I have only been there a couple times, but always come away with a lot of cool stuff.

I used to work right across the street at 595 Market. It was cool being able to go over there during lunch. I think that guy's been there since the 1906 earthquake (just kidding). But he does have a pleasant and patient demeanor about him and never had any problem pulling out box after box of stuff for me to poke around in.
