I never was any good with Peace Dollars! This 1922 looked like it still had some luster, think it will go MS?

I didn't have a glass with me at the pawn shop where I picked these up at and thought this 1922 D was XF but after getting it home I think its been cleaned. whizzed maybe?? Pics look like there are lines going the same direction to me or am I wrong? What do you think?

    Polished for sure

Polishing gives them a mirror-like appearance. Looks abrasively cleaned to me. Top ones seems MS, but the usualy caveat that it's hard to tell from a single picture. If you rotate it another direction hairlines from a brush might suddenly show up.

The first one would be UNC, except that it has some hairlining on the obverse above and to the left of the date. So I would call it AU-55.

The second one has VF details, but it has had a harsh treatment with a pencil eraser, fine steel wool, or other abrasive.

If I can get at least a 61 on the '22 I would come out all right. Paid $25 for the pair.

don't tell me you're going to send this coin in, please tell me you're not going to certify a common date slider!

because the grading fee alone will guarantee you don't "come out all right"

you did ok at $25 for the 2 coins, unless you throw good money after bad.

No I agree with you, I have several other coins that would be a much better prospect for grading than this one. Just wanted to know if I was looking right at the coins. Always had a hard time with Peace $ for some reason.
