ATTN: eBay Sellers (POLL)

What ending day do you beleive yeilds the highest prices? Should it be the same day of the Teletrade or Heritage auctions since people are in "that" mindset on those days (but perhaps with a closing time that doesn't conflict with their closing times - usually 9p & 11p ET respectively)?

For my own time zone I get the best results late Friday, and Saturday.Al
  • I voted for Sunday, but frankly if you have an item in high demand I dont think it matters what day or what time -- the bids will be there. cheers, alan mendelson

  • Saturday or Sunday, generally in the evening.

Now that Football is back, I usually catch a coupl of college and pro ball games which allows me to surf for coins at the same time.

If ignorance is bliss, shouldn't we have more happy people ??
  • The past few Sunday evenings have been pretty slow for me! I guess everyone is trying to enjoy what is left of the warm weather!

  • My experience on EBAY, and the experience of some of my friends is to set a closing time mid morning on Tuesday. There was a study done on this, but I can't remember where I saw it. The theory behind this is, a great number of EBAY buyers, do their buying at work. Monday's are no good, because it is the first day of the work week, and everyone is too busy. By Tuesday, many people at work are on their computers anyway, so a lot goof off time while the boss is not watching is done. However, you want to catch them before lunch. After that, everybody is napping. Conversely, the worst time to end a listing is Sunday night. Everybody has to go to bed early, so they can get to work Monday, to pay for all the coins they bought last Tuesday. And most important, never end a listing in the very late hours of night, or the very early hours of the morning on any day of the week. Of course, if you are a buyer, these are the auctions you want to watch. On a side note> Dennis, if it is i before e, then should I start calling you Dinnes?? Sorry, could not resist....
