6,000 Pound Safe For Sale-On Ebay w/pics

They don't make them like this any more. I'll try to get pics and measurements later today, but the measurements are approx. 6' high, 4 1/2' wide and 3' deep. There are several compartments and drawers inside that could be removed to make it a gun safe. I have to get at least $2,000 for this or I will sit on it till I get a suitable place to keep it. I can make arrangements to get it loaded onto your truck or maybe even get it delivered at your cost. If anyone is interested, please bump this to the top and I'll PM my phone number to you. I live in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

It comes in handy when you drop it on a slab you want to crack image

I had one at home that I couldn't sell for $300.00 I just gave it away.Al
  • I didn't get the pics yet, but the outside measurements are : 68 1/2" high, 52 1/2" wide and 30 3/4" deep. the inside measurements are : 47" high, 39" wide and 14 1/2" deep. This is a double door safe with the combination dial on the right side door. Each door is locked with 7 very heavy-duty locking lugs. The words MOSLER Cin. O. and BAITMANN & Co. are on the combination dial. This would be an ideal safe to build a house around. It is very difficult to move even on smooth level concrete. It is on wheels, and if the wheels were cut off it would be 8" shorter in height. A car carrier with a tilt/roll-back bed and winch can pick up and haul this safe from where it is now.

If you'll deliver it to Seattle and take it down the 26 stairs to my basement, I'll take it (not)image

  • If my floor could hold it and if I could get it into my house, it would never be for sale. Sorry I didn't get the pics yet.

I have been thinking about getting a big safe. But I think that is toobig. image
  • This safe would be the ultimate thing to keep a very valueable coin collection in. Everyone keeps saying "it's too big" or "it's too heavy". That's why it would be the best. It is about impossible to move and I doubt if anyone would even try to forceably open it.
  • Item # 2561311771. Can someone please linkify this for me ? I can't figure out how to do it. If any board member wins this auction, they can take 10% off of the final auction price.

  • Yeah, the bumper stickers are free, but the paint color isn't all that bad. The next owner can decide if the bumper stickers stay or go and it the color needs changed.
  • Very nice safe. This thread has me looking at smaller versions for myself.

  • That should help it run up!

How old is that sucker? Looks antique-y!

  • Lordmarcovan, all that I know is that it is over 40 years old. And also that you would have to have a very strong floor to put it on. The auction ends today.
  • Why would there be 6 bids on an item and the high bid of 1225.00 when the description plainly states a reserve of 2000.00? Why waist the time it takes to click the bid button! Doesn't look like those bidders are buyers.
