Any given coin is only worth what someone will pay at the time. If it's a coin from a very active series in the registry, you'll get your best price anywhere.
If is a common coins I suggest EBay by the visibility. If you are talking about top low pop coins, with 4/5 digits value, maybe Heritage will be a great way.
All kidding aside. I'd usually offer it around here & then on eBay. If it is a real big one you'd better do some serious research as to who needs it before you offer it up. You might also consider Teletrade, Heritage, Superior, or Bowers & Marena again, depending on the exact type of coin it is as one house gets better prices one one type of material versus another. If it is a VERY rare & expensive coin public auction or private deals are the way to go - BUT NOT USUALLY ON EBAY. Everything is grey - that's about all I can say except what I've already said. PM me with specific questions & I'll try to be more specific.
