How are you doing

in the hobby. Making steady progress?

Happy with selection and price?

Not getting anywhere and getting frustrated? Or losing your shirt?

Losing interest?

Gaining interest?

Somewhere in the middle of all that?

Well........being in my twilight years, I'm pretty happy with my paultry and meager collection but always looking for other cool pieces too. Finally DMPL dollars have come into vogue which is also nice for me.

Well I'm getting up in years and just wondered if the "Twilight Years" was another way of saying old geezer. Then I guess next is the golden years.

To stay on topic to cam40's post.... yes my hide is getting chapped because I am a collector and a collector only. I like to look at my coins and as my tastes for nicer pieces increases so is the money spent. What bothers me is having to take them to the safe box. Yes I have images but that just don't do it. I also have a safe in my house, but I don't think it's a good idea to keep them at home.

So... sometimes I wonder why I buy coins. I could just snatch images off the net and look at those and save my cash. Can you tell I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired?image Hey, you asked.

My passion for this hobby is as intense as it was twenty five years ago when I started. My goal is the same with a focus on quality coins with great eye appeal. Whether its a Barber half in AU55 or a modern commen in MS70. Great coins are great coins, and always will be. I feel sorry for the so-called "investors" who worry about market fluctuations and the health of registry sets. Enjoy the hobby.

Well...I'm teetering on having to sell my commem reg set. Engine in boat went TU so I'm going to have to re-power. It'll be to the tune of $13 - 18K.

Other than that, I've been happy with the choices and prices out there.

    Cheers,

    Bob
