ERROR?? $152.50 FOR A 2003 LINCOLN PROOF CENT?

I was surprised to see this coin sell for the price. Of the 100 2003 silver proof sets I recently received, almost all of the lincoln cents were the same. I don't believe this is an error, it's just that the "3" in the 2003 Lincoln cent "appears" weak but is in fact not. Has anyone else seen this in their 2003 silver proof sets?

It's not an error, to me. And it's quite common.

All (5) of my proof sets came the same way! With the screwed up COA, as well. Hmmmm? I sent one to Marty, too..

I guess it isn't general knowledge that lots of 2003-S Lincolns have the weak 3. Mine does. Does anybody have one with a full 3?

Mine has the same cent and error COA. Boy I am still kicking myself in the butt for not buying more than 1!!

All mine the same too!! Wasn't there a post a month ago where PCGS graded one PR70DCam with a weak "3"?

Mine has a full "3"...what is the problem with the COA?

I just took another look. At some angles the 3 is well defined at others it seems to disapear. The 3 seems as tall as the other digits or close to it. So I'm thinking it just isn't frosted like the other digits.

Perhaps this will develop into a variety. Aside from the proofs has anyone paid any attention to regular circulation strikes to see what the 3 looks like?

I just found 1 regular strik and the three looks normal. However, if, like Conder101 suggested that it is a frosting only issue; then it still might be a variety.
