    heres the list, man im shaking so much, just held some serious history...Im hoping to maybe grab a few of these, the owner at this point really doesnt know worth...im not good on old gold prices, But i believe we found some rarities, and yes coinworld is a deff option, as where the coins came from hasnt been changed, and the detecotr indicates theres still more...anyhow till we get someone we can trust to dig rest out, hes staying out there until we can, as we have kinda stirred a little comotion out there with all screaming and yelling

    That's fantastic!! Please keep us informed through this thread. Any guesstimates on overall conditions of the coins. Since they are gold, I assume they are pretty well preserved.

    Can't wait to see the photos of the buried treasure!! Thanks in advance for your reply and for the fun ride as you document this incredible find!

    amoungst the mis stuff im almost sure theres a counterfiet or 2. Overall condition is hard for me to judge, but theres a deff assortment image

    Its funny how people stash these hoards away for safe keeping and then die without ever making use of them. Congrats on the find and I hope you get to own some of themimage-------------BigE

    let me say one thing in regards to the person who "owns" this lott and whatever else pops up. hes the nicest guy ya could wish to meet, thinks of everyone but himself. His neighbor is having some septic tank problems and another is struggling with medical payments for a child with lukemia. The whole time i was digging thru all he could talk about was when this is dispearsed his friends wont have to worry no more. he plans on using proceeds to help his neighbors, not once remembering he has no tv, hardly any cash for going out or even buying himself new clothes or something.


    hes the person whom sits in the corner and is facinated by the simpelist of things.

    couldnt have happend to a better guy in my opinion, and will make sure i direct him in the right direction for dispersal.

    and I am truly blessed to have him as a friendimage

    please guys understand, the person this happened to deserved it, seriously, and I had nothing ta do with it except my detector was used and Im helping identify stuff...this guy is so cool hell proba ly give me whatever i asked for, but thats not me.

    I just maybe able to get a few pics up within the next week...its gonna be cut close because we only have a few more weeks before most of the island is shutdown and the 10-11 locals take over. Main concern being getting the infared imaging done and getting someone whos good with engineering and whatnot to advise on what can be ripped apart so to say. Ive been in touch with ken, and hes been reading all he can on coins, so I do think we another collector on our hands....

    What a fantastic story! You should write it up for the Numismatist or Coin World.

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    Great find! This story goes way beyond just the numismatic community and would make a very good national news story. I think I would contact a lawyer before you alert any media as I am sure there will be others to claim the treasure as thiers. mike image
