What could Ebay do

to make the experience better for you, teh seller?

For me, I'd like to know how many potential bidders have my auctions on their watch list. It's aggravating sometimes when I have an auction that has had no bids placed yet there are obvioualy people watching it considering the number of views my counter shows.

So, what could Ebay do to make the experience less stressful for you?

I'd like reserve fees taken away- I'd gladly reveal my reserve, but I don't want to pay the fee (these are on coins where I don't know if my price is what eBay could fetch... I also don't want to pay $3.30 for each coin when I list it.

Make it harder to get an ID so they could weed out the weenies a little better.
  • I could go on for hours with this question.

    1. Buyer must have credit /debit card on file, Buyer gets paid instantly( sorry, paypal)

    2. Better response to emails with problems.

    3. A phone number to call.

    4. better searchs

    5. get rid of sorry sellers(200 negs. over 20,000 positive, means YOU lose) But, we all know nothing will ever happen to this seller

    And so on...........................................

Require that the sellers return policy be plainly stated in the description.

I'll second Mr. Fifth and add that all pertinent transaction details should be in required fields before an item is listed.

This would be easy to do from E-Bay's perspective.

I really can't even think of any downside to this from either a sellers or buyers perspective.

  • As an honest seller I'd like to see eBay do more to eliminate scam sellers.

Maybe eBay could do more to automate the selling process...
  • If the buyer should have credit card on file then the seller should not be allowed to cancel auctions with a reserve and be forced to complete the transaction or lose selling previlages.
  • Jim: I'm an EBay coin buyer - no dealer & no high priced coins. If I see "Reserve Not Yet Met" I pass it buy.
Seeing this I never know how far I have to go to get a coin. Another thing I pass on is high shipping costs.
$7.95 to ship one coin is not what I want to pay. I look for a dealer who sets a price he/she wants and then
I know how high I can bid according to my cash limit. Hope this helps. image
