Help a darksider out, here.

I'm a type collector. No interest in dates, mintmarks or rarities just a nice example of a design. I'm thinking of putting together a type set of quater/shilling-sized coins from around the globe from the early 20th century. So of course I would need a US example, particularly the SLQ. What's the most common, least expensive example to be had in UNC or BU condition?

Thanks.

    I'd suggest a nice lustrous non-FH 1930 standing liberty.

The 1930 and most of 'em from the late 20's should be reasonable in slider UNC for a decent price, if you avoid the expensive Full Head designation. Many raw, sight-unseen examples from mailorder dealers for just under a hundred bucks (at least, the last time I looked) will be "sliders', that is, fully lustrous but with a trace of rub (technical AU55-58). There is nothing wrong with these as long as you don't pay full UNC price for 'em- many look full UNC at a glance.
