eBay picture question

Is it really necessary to have a pic if your item (a proof gold eagle in this case) looks just like every other one that the Mint has ever produced? My item isn't getting a lot of action and my reason for selling it has largely disappeared so I am considering ending it.

No but you might get a higher price if you do use a picture of the actual coin.

I don't see why it should matter as one proof eagle looks like any other but since its only a 30 cent listing I guess I will just end it.

it matters to me on some items to give me an idea if the seller actually has what they say they are selling - especially if not high feedback from selling -

1 ounce of gold would matter to me


I would want to make sure photos were consistent, not just snagged off the internet

As a new collector, I like to see what I am bidding on because I may not know what all the other ones look like. It would help me decide greatly if there was a picture.

I rarely give auctions without pictures a second glance, but that's just my opinion.

Even though some items really dont require a pic, Many people will not bid, including my self.

Somehow people tend to be more comfortable if they can put a photo of the item with the auction. Kind of creates buyer assurance that the item is actually whats being described.
