1861 CSA half - question about PCGS Numbers

There are two listings in the pop reports for 1861 Confederate halfs. I know that there were 500 struck in whitemetal and then 500 more struck on planed off 1961 genuine half dollars, but I don't know which PCGS numbers go with which. I really thought Robert Scot struck all 1000 of the coins, but the PCGS listings say "SCOT" only on one of them.

The listings are as follows:

340402 1861 50C CSA Restrike MS 0 0 1 2 0 10 6 3 13 20 4 2 0 0 0 0 61
340403 1861 50C CSA Scott Restrike MS 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 7 18 10 2 0 0 0 38

Anybody know which one refers to the whitemetal restrikes?

    I don't know for sure...

But I would think the CSA restrike refers to the genuine 1861-O halves with the Confederate obverse, and the CSA Scott restrike refers to the white metal tokens. While Scott made both restrikes, his name appears only on the white metal token, which is probably the only reason you would find his name on the PCGS label.

By the way, the restrikes were done by J W Scott, not Robert Scot, and he did do all 1000 restrikes.
