No, nothing traumatic.

I was accepted today to participate in a corporate sponsored Eco-Challenge in New Zealand in February 2004.

Not that I have to pay to participate, but I intend to take my family for a weeks vacation prior to the adventure race.

This is similar to, but not as stressful as the Eco-Challenge race that Mark Burnett sponsors.

Since it has a corporate slant to it, there is some team building built into the race. Part physical race, part mental

race.

Over the last 10 months I have worked my butt off to prepare for this race. Literally worked my butt off, or at least

65 pounds of it. Now that I am in the race, I need to really tune up over the next 4 months.

I'm hyped.

    Tom,

That Eco-Challange race is totally cool!!!image

I watched a previous race on the Discovery channel, at I loved it. I wish I could do something like that. As an exploration geologist finishing up grad school, they do things that I have dreamed about doing. You gotta let us know what team, etc you are on.

    Good luck!!
  • Is that like seeing how many SUV you can set on fire in 20 minutes? image

What did you do to lose 65#? If it meant giving up beer or potato chips do not answer! Wish I could lose half of that, not that I need to, just want to.
  • If I lost 65 pounds I wouldn't way anything image .

ok j/k I would still weigh 65 pounds...
