Kudos to Todd of Cameo CC!!

We just got our power back here in Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks of NC so this is the first time I've had the opportunity to be on-line since Wednesday. We actually fared very well here on the beach compared to many areas inland. Go figure! I am in the process of selling my Registry Set piece by piece on E-Bay (search by Seller c.urch; blatant plug!!) and got an E-mail from Todd Wednesday stating that he was interested in two coins I had for sale and he wondered what my "off- E-Bay" price would be for the two. I looked up my cost of the coins and gave him a quote as to what would be an acceptable price to me. At the time, I was a bit pre-occupied with Isabel bearing down on us and looked up the wrong price on one of the coins. When I discovered that I had made an error, I e-mailed him just to let him know that my cost on one of the coins was not really as inexpensive as I had told him initially but that we had a "done deal" since it was my mistake. The difference was $80 and he told me that he would send an additional check for that amount! Class Act! FYI

    That is a class act. Todd is a good fellow.

    How many times have we heard stories here of buyers taking coins from sites that the dealer had accidentally put the incorrect price up, and felt alright about it? I bought a coin off the Heritage site a couple of years ago. The difference in that case was not dramatic, but Jim Halperin said that he would honor the price they'd posted.

    Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
