Bruce: Yes - this Heritage coin was a great coin. I don't collect the series, but I bid for the coin for my personal collection (I had no customer for the coin). Heritage told me I lost to an ebay bidder! That cost the ebay bidder another 5% (20% commish I believe on bay) - in which case, he bid close to $14,000 for the coin (last coin sold at $7k!). Oh well - you win some, and lose some (not sure which I did in this case, if you know what I mean). image

Bruce- one thing I did notice and correct me if this is something you have not seen in the proof series. I have noticed lately that the quality of the DCAM coins is all over the place - ranging from super strong deep cameos to coins that I would have figured for just avg cams. The old "buy the coin and not the holder" appears to have invaded the proof 3 center series, from what I have seen. The old - "what would this coin be worth out of the holder" - seems to have become an issue with the series. Have you seen this as well, or is this simply my experience of seeing, perhaps, some low end coins simply heading to auction?
