I think this one will definately get 4 figs. My over and under on it is $1300. And I don't want to hear any replies saying how "SMR is only $600." I know I tried to give it every chance by featuring it and ten daying it ending it on a Sat. I am quite curious to see what it fetches.
The last one hit $1,400, but it had better l/r centering than this one. Still, when you have fools like me who paid $910 for this week's PSA 9 Brett (hey-it was a nice rookie ) - well, then anything can happen!
regardless of the centering (which isnt even that bad), the color looks rich and the print spots are missing. there are enough hardcore Ryan collectors and 75 collectors that the sky's the limit with this card.
If a 1975 Topps PSA 10 were to surface, what do you think it would fetch? Also, anybody know of a vintage ryan psa 10 that has sold and what it went for?
I own a 1973 Topps Leaders card featuring Nolan Ryan and Steve Carlton in PSA 10. Cost me a pretty penny a long time ago -- but I cannot say as I've seen any vintage Ryan 10's older than that since then....

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
I agree that the sky is the limit on this card. There are some heavy 1975 guys floating around and I think with the last one closing at $1400, people have realized how tough this card is and how much it is in demand. I think it will close between $1500-$2000.
Don't worry guys, I won't be sniping this one. I think my PSA 8 is nice enough (centering is possibly just a bit worse l-r on mine and it's not the "TUFF" variation ):
Jeb, That 8 is definately nothing to scoff at. I have definately seen worse for an 8, especially for that card. That being said, it's not "PSA Tuff" but certainly would quailfy for "PSA Hard." However I do like your card and will make you this deal.... If you win my "PSA Tuff," I will take your PSA 8 in exchange for $150 off your final winning bid. Something to think about...
I'm not sure I'd be surprised to see this one top $2k. In the 75 set, Ryan is one of the tougher HOFers to find in PSA9. The colors tend to seem drab and the picture a bit fuzzy. Having seen other 75s with the same color scheme, I know those colors CAN stand out and provide a still-wet appearance.
My personal opinion is that the Aaron is a tougher 9, but that's a different arguement.

I put a bid in anyway, just for fun.

This card is a BLAZERIN', RAZORIN', Drive you CRAZIER THEN ... bidding against vargha. so L@@K!!! LOL....
think this one will reach 4 figures?
Isabel is coming to my neighborhood...
I'd rather have the 1953 Topps Jackie Robinson PSA 9 that went for 8625.00 :-)
1953 Topps in PSA 8
1941 Playball in PSA 8.
1952-1955 Red Man cards in 7 and 8
1950 Bowman in PSA 8
<< <i>So the 200 got taken out faster than I thought... I really thought you had a chance of making it until dawn. >>
my $500 didnt even last till dawn.
<< <i>The last one hit $1,400, but it had better l/r centering than this one. >>
I agree. For this kind of money the L/R is too far off.

Your not outta line,Dave.
This is going to make a registry collector pretty happy even though you are offering so much more in a whole different way.
Nice card,James.
Hope you reach a new record for the SMR with this monster.
