Assigning an MS65 -66 GRADE

Will a coin that has heavier than usual die polishing lines prevent an MS65 or 66 grade? I understand and know the difference between die polish lines and hairlines...what about a small carbon spot? Does that eliminate the chance for MS65? Thnaks for your comments.

It's all a matter of degree. Heavy die polish lines would be considered a negative and may knock a coin out of the MS65 category.

I do not believe that a small carbon spot would preclude a coin from being MS65. Carbon spots are a negative, but again, it's a metter of degree.

    Good question.
