Favorite set and Favorite card of all time

Forgive me if this thread has been discussed before, but since I am a newbie to these boards, in a way to get to know everyone better, I was wondering what everyone's favorite set and favorite card might be. The card doesn't have to be from the favorite set. Here's mine:
Favorite set- 1971 Topps baseball. My sentimental pick because it was the first year I opened alot of packs. I'm not pursuing it in slabbed form now though because of the expense and toughness.
Favorite card- 1974 Johnny Bench. Don't know why for sure. I just love that card! Nice action shot. It looks like he just belted a homer at Shea.

To make it easier, I'm going to keep it to standard Topps issues, as that seems to be what you're looking for.
Favorite set - 1960 Topps
Favorite card - 1973 Topps Willie Stargell (most of my picks for favorite card would come from the '73 or '60 Topps set, although it would be wrong to not mention the '53 Bowman Color Pee Wee Reese card).
Here's my '73 Stargell:
JEB.
Fave card: 1914/15 Cracker Jack Ty Cobb ( most classic image, ever!)
One interesting note. When Beckett came out he only did Baseball Cards. As a baseball card nut I never thought that football, hockey, basketball, etc., would ever be worth anything so I tossed them out. The mentality, I believe back then was if Beckett only graded baseball, then baseball was the only thing to collect.
I don't have a favorite card.

My favorite card, which is not as easy to narrow down, would have to be a 1952 Topps Billy Loes.
Card: 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #144 or the 1953 Bowman Pee Wee Reese.

Favorite card is 71 Dal Maxville. A poor man's Pee Wee Reese card. I have fond memories of that card even though the card has nothing to do with the memory. The Cards were my Dad's favorite team since they used to play spring and winter ball in Cuba in or near his hometown. The card is a picture of Maxville fielding in a double play and it's obviously spring training by the look of the stadium. So even though the Cards hadn't played in Cuba for over 10 years at the time, I always imagined that shot was taken in Cuba in my Dad's hometown.
At least that's the memory I have of that card.
Nowadays, as a collector, I lust after the 62's and my most desirable card is #1, Roger Maris.
Edited to include picture...took me a couple of times...

Favorite card within my lifetime (1968+) would be a toss-up between 1970 and 1978 Reggie Jackson or 1976 Johnny Bench. I also like the '78 Doug Ault (I call it "Munson in action"). Favorite set is 77 Topps-Favorite card from the set is below.
ABBAdad,
You can never post this kind of stuff too much. Great thread. I dig the '74 Bench as well. When the red is bold and it's real squared-up and clean it's gorgeous.

SportscardAdvocate,
You need to change your "calling card" in your ID from the '58 Mantle to the '71 Maxvill. Don't ask me how to do it, you're the techno-genius. You just need to change it b/c that was such a good story. Petition BJ, write a letter to Joe O. Get it done, man.
Just don't write any letters to your Congresswoman, Sheila Jackson Lee.
Whoops! I outted you.
Favorite card: 57 Topps Brook Robinson Rookie...I have no idea why but I've always liked that card

My favorite card: 1911 T-205 Gold Border Danny Murphy
Favorite card - Yellow Ruth or 67 Rose
Favorite Set - 1965 Topps Baseball (such a contrast from the previous year's issue and by '65 I was crazy about baseball and cards).
Favorite card - The only 1954 Bowman I own: #58-Pee Wee Reese (b/c he was a little guy from Louisville who was the first to befriend Jackie Robinson, on and off the field, I'm told).
My Reese has a big crease in the back that doesn't show through to the front. I will only get it graded if PSA ever has a grade with the qualifier: PSA 8 NM-MT cr/bk.
My joke set and card are the 7-11 Slurpee cups and the Bevacqua Bubble gum blowing card. That card always makes me laugh.
Thanks,
Jesus.
P.S. Curmudgeon, you have that Clemente card? I bet you do. I know you have every card I want. You're here to taunt me.
