PRO Grading and Crossovers

Hi all, this is my first time posting, but it should become more regular. I just started building PSA Set Registry sets at the end of last year and am totally hooked now!!! My 1971 Topps set is up to 40% now and climbing.
I just recently sent 3 cards into PSA for the Crossover service. One of the cards was a 1971 Topps Andy Messersmith SGC 88 NM-MT that crossed over to a PSA 7. Really doesn't surprise me 'cause I thought it was borderline to begin with. The other two cards were a 1971 Topps Rod Carew PRO 9 Mint and a 1971 Topps Willie Mays PRO 8.5 NM-MT+ that failed to cross over because of evidence of being trimmed After reading some of the earlier posts on here, I figured that would probably happen too. Unfortunately, I had already sent the cards in before reading those posts and was unfamilar with the reputation of PRO grading. Thankfully, I didn't pay much for the PRO graded cards. Cheap lesson learned! Now to my questions:
(1) Do any of you think that we can convince PSA to stop grading all crossovers from PRO? With the number of crossovers that they receive previously by PRO grading that come back indicating evidence of trimming, they would be doing the hobby a service by doing this. PRO is a real detriment to the hobby IMO!!!
(2) Who would be a good person to contact at PSA to make a case for this?
Thanks,
Mike

PSA crosses over the card and not the grading company. They check out the card and if it falls within the parameters set for cards from that set - and the grade meets the one that you've set - its crossed over.
Although many people use PRO to slab junk that won't get by PSA, SGC, GAI or Beckett - there are also people who send in perfectly fine and untampered cards because either they aren't aware of PRO'S reputation or are new to the graded card world.
I also see that you received the 71's that I shipped late last week. Thanks again and definitely join the fray. There is no shortage of characters on this board and there is plenty of info to make your collecting easier or at least nmore well informed.
