So Roosie Folks.....

Is this coin any good or do the skills still need some help ? At least I found one in Portland that was liked. image Actually I bought 4 of these a Washington and a Merc today. By far the best Raw coin day in a couple of years.

I know, I never say anything nice....Regretfully, think it is a low end 65...the tick on the jaw is apparent. You can do much better.image

Uperr left field makes it a 63 or 64

Strike wise is this what is needed or does it need to be stronger ? This was the best struck one the coin shop had. Also does the lower band have to be split ? All seemed real weak to me.

    Thanks Guys.

In my limited experience with PCGs grading my Roosies, the hits that are easily seen by the eye are killers as far as getting a good grade... I have found that you either need some awesome toning or a strong blast white hit free coin for ms66 ms67 status..

this one looks like some of my ms64 jobs....

a nice coin but not worth submitting in my opinion..

"You can find a better one" Glen in Coin Starved Oregon...thats a Big Chore.

Looks like it is back to the drawing board on these for me. I'll keep looking though. image

  • I like the originality. If the line between the portrait is a toning streak and not a scrape, I think it would grade 65, or possibly 66 if the luster is better than appears in the image. Definite not FB.
