I was checking out this auction for a 1954 Topps #24 card tonight:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ViewItem&item=2751652538&category=16271
and I see the printing on the PSA holder is different (0's with a slash, the barcode much longer, etc.) Is this a new PSA holder or is someone making them at home now?

Then I have a related question. What is the progression of numbers that PSA has used? I see numbers that are 05XXXXXXX, 11XXXXXXXX, or 30XXXXXXXX, or 40XXXXXXXX, or 90XXXXXXXXX, etc.
I recently had cards graded by PSA and they are 30XXXXXXXX. So this is the latest series of numbers. Why are the 40XXXXXXX, 50XXXXXXXX, 90XXXXXXX etc. number series earlier than this?

That question is for some of the PSA/PHD's on this board. I wonder if anyone really knows the number sequence for graded cards.

What is the answer? (I know It's not in the research department).
