New set idea. Topps 50 Greatest. Opinions wanted.

This is about a new PSA set that I want to propose be added to the registry. This would be similar to the top 300 baseball card set and therefore a "Key Card Set." In 2001 Topps put a 50 card insert set commemorating 50 years of Topps called "Topps Through the Years." There is one card per year from 1952-1999 with the exception of 52 and 56 which have double representation for some reason. Yes, it is a reprint set, but I was a big fan and put it accumulated the set rather quickly in both standard and chrome. Then I decided to start looking for the originals and having them graded. Here are my questions;
1. Does this make sense to have as a PSA registered set. "Top 50 Topps cards"
2. Would a Tiffany count as an original? The representative from 1985 is Clemens and the Tiffany is the more popular (valuable) card.
1964 example Whitey Ford

Would that be sarcasm or stupidity? I can't tell.
1. I think this set makes sense and it's a good idea.
2. I don't see why a tiffany would not count, but you may need to specify
one or the other for the set (tiffany or regular version).
PSAtan: there already is a set based on Joe's Top 200 cards.
It's at the very bottom of the "misc." page.
I have another new set idea -- howzabout a multi-player (or "combo")
card set? Does this already exist? Do you think collector's would be
interested in this? If so, maybe I'll post a request for everyone's favorite
multi-player cards, put together a list, and then submit a request to
the powers that be.

Thanks for asking. Yes, with your help and others I am well on my way. The 52 Pafko, 52 Robinson, and 53 Mays are the big money cards that are currently slowing me down. I have 54-92 exept for 2 right now. The 90s cards have also been difficult for me to get, but simply due to the fact that I have very little raw from the 90s and it is also these are not things that people tend to grade and sell (those will come with a little leg work though.)
CW,
I like the idea of the multiplayer cards. Not the modern card multi-jersey cards, but the cards from the 50s or 60s like 1963 "Pride of the NL" and "Power Plus." Maybe their could be multiple sets like multi-player from each decade as its own set.

Here is another idea: a run of Topps League Leader cards (single-player, multi-player, or both). Some of these cards picture 4 or 5 HOFers on them and IMO are grossly undervalued.

take some time. I'll start a new thread in a few weeks and
get some feedback. Coincidentally I have an old baseball card
mag from 1983, and inside is an article on multi-player cards.
They start with '53 Bowman and end with '69 Topps, claiming
that this period was the "Golden Era" of multi-player cards.
They go through each year, listing all of the mp cards, and
there's a LOT of 'em! Not sure if I want to start this, because
the last thing I need is another big list of cards to buy.
heh heh, don't ya know it! Only 16 cards to go....
I'll stick to baseball with the multi-player set,
but once I get this list together I might be tempted
to add the Four Horsemen card to the set.
