WHAT SHOULD I PAY?

Is $150 A fair price on a 1969 PCGS PR 69 DCAM KENNEDY HALF.
Or can someone give me a better deal?

I think your chances of getting offered coins here may be lessened a bit if you ask for coins publicly as you did, then (I suspect) board members offer them to you and then you post new threads asking if the price you were quoted is fair. My suggestion is to do all your homework in advance of asking for specific coins to avoid this situation. This is particularly true of the PROOF Kennedy series where my experience has shown me that prices can and are "all over the place". image

For a spot free, speck free, no hazy field, clean surface, black and white, true DCAM PR69 PCGS, I think it is okey for the price. Indeed, I paid more than $150 for my piece. Just my two cents.

  • Excellent advice Wondercoin. Sounds like he's trying to low-ball a Kennedy, hoping someone would bite on a ridicious price for a 1969 PR69DCAM. Oldest trick in the book!!!

  • Can't tell much from the scans, but I would be concerned about this deal. The seller states that this is a no return auction, yet he evidently used his standard listing which states his 7 day return policy. Smells fishy to me. I usually stay away from "FINAL-NO RETURN " auctions. JMO.image

Looks like no return, with boilerplate added on. Since it is no return, why ask here whether someone has one better. Price seems OK to me.

If you're very lucky, that will get you one that barely made it in to a 69 holder. It will NOT get you a premium coin that would grade 69DCAM every time.

I will tell you right now that if you're building a set and are interested only in how cheaply you can acquire the coins, the quality of your set will reflect that approach. There is a lot of junk in PCGS holders.

Edit: I just looked at the listing. This seller is a very experienced purveyor of modern proofs. The fact that he had a BIN of only $150 tells me all I need to know about the coin.
