Finally...my 100th post!

I have been on these boards now for just over 1 year and finally have my 100 post!imageimageimage

I certainly get a kick out of reading most of the posts on here, but I usually am a quiet person as opposed to posting on here every day. I do have some comments from time to time, and I hope that they are insightful. I have a limited amount of knowledge, but I am learning. I collected coins as a kid and had a good time but was frustrated that my collection would never add up to much. I was happy, but frustrated. Now that PCGS has this board, and I have met others that collect what they can with what $$$ they have, it really doesn't matter what amout of $$$ you spend, but that you are happy with your collection. I am happy, but would be even more happy if and when I complete at least 1 collection.image

If you have any thoughts of comments, I would love to read them, and thanks a million, in Roosevelt dimes...In MS condition...with full bandsimage

  • I've found the key to completing a set is to only work on one set to completion. When I first started collecting 30+ years ago, I had started sets in Morgans,Walkers,Mercs,Type, and Buffalos. You can only spread the money so thin. Are you still collecting Roosies and is your set still listed?

    Congrats...Now the truth,

For the pleasures of my 100th post I was uncerimoniously moved from the board. Wow, I was really apprecaited as someone who was just trying the "me too"! So yes, I feel slighted. I focus on raw specimens now. I have never seen the US mint turn out plastic, so I do not need someone to tell me the grade and put it in a holder. The important thing here is, It takes years to build a customer and the relationship that comes with it. But just one moment of indiscretion to lose that customer: Me.

    Enjoy your hundreth post.

As of right now, my Roosie set is de-listed, as are my other sets. I had somewhat of a personal problem and de-listed them due to the future unknown. I can't go into specifics, but still have my coins and don't plan on giving them up anytime soon.

Thanks for asking Waldo, and have a nice day, Paul.

  • Why not relist?

I will re-list my coins probably in early 2004. I'm going to wait for the new year as it brings new things.
