Someone else's- '15 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson, PSA 8. 35K? Yesterday, at Hollywood Park. 2nd runner up was Marty's '33 Lajoie. Need both, couldn't stomach selling a kidney or assuming a 3rd mortgage just for cardboard.
Once photographed a Stradivarious violen (spelling is off I'm sure) pretty expensive fiddle.

Mine- '48 Leaf Paige, or something that doesn't appear in SMR- '58 Herrer error, or '60 Fleer #80. Everything pales in comparison to the Joe Jackson, it was a really nice card.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Following pc's response, although not PSA cards, I would have to say my father's cards. He had complete sets of 1953-1959 Topps. He sold them for something like $6,000 or so in the mid '80s. If only I had the foresight to talk him out of it. I'm sure those cards would have been worth 20x that now, especially considering the condition of the cards (he took good care of the cards, even back in the '50s). I remember looking at his cards of Clemente, Mantle, etc. as a kid. I just wish I could go back in time. image

    JEB.
  • My cards.....1948 Leaf SGC 86 DiMaggio.

Not my cards.....which ever is more expensive....a PSA 3 T206 Plank or a PSA 4 '33 Goudey Lajoie.

The most expensive I've held was a 1952 Topps Mantle PSA 8 at a show in San Fran. It was BMW's booth. The lady was very nice and let me hold it after I commented how nice it was. That was back when BMW and PSA liked each other.

The most expensive I've owned was a 1980 Topps George Brett PSA 10 that I sold for $700. Kinda sad in comparison to you vintage guys.

Stump, I'd have guessed your top card at around 10k. You dropped some serious coin before.

Held - several high-grade SGC Cracker Jacks from BMW's display at a show a couple years ago. I think there was a SGC 92 or 96 Cobb, and an 88 Jackson, and others. Not PSA, but either way, they were nice cards.

Owned - probably one of my 71 GMs, Mays or Brock or Jackson. Nothing too expensive, though. I have pricier raw cards, though.
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay
  • 1979 topps wayne gretzky psa 9 is the most valuable card i own ive held (i own ii)

  • The 1952 Mantle (before it was graded) owned by Mark Murphy's father at the original 500 HR show in 1998 (??) Atlantic City. Book was $7,500 and I offered him $12,500. He had it in a thick brick screwdown with the notation "PURRRRRRRFECT". It later graded a legitimate PSA 10, unlike the earleir 10s which are probably an 8 at best. He thanked me for the offer and I felt so good walking away just having the opportunity to hold it. *smile*

Most expensive card I ever held in my hand has to be my wife's MasterCard. It's cost me tens of thousands of dollars many times over the past 9 years. image

I also once held a 1968 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 10 that Superior once had up for auction.
