Question About 1964 Topps BASEBALL ?

Can you get a grade of Psa 8 or even a Mint 9 if the card back of the cartoon Question is visible or been rubbed ? Would appreciate any info anybody can provide ! Robby

I have seen "8's" with it rubbed off. I have never seen a 9.

Lloyd - sorry, I was out of town yesterday... I will agree with what has already been said... I have seen a very few 8's with the area visible, although none of them show evidence of being scratched off... before I started breaking up my '64 set, I had over 400 cards in grades 9 or 10, and I have never seen a 9 or a 10 with the cartoon question rubbed off.

Thanks again for the info ! The reason I asked was because I just bought a psa 8 card from DSL that partially showed the cartoon being visible - # 328 Bob Shaw - the card front is a high end 8 , but it is the first time I've gotten Psa 8 card with the carton visible ! Got me to wondering if I could submit high end cards to Psa with the cartoon visible or did it just slip by Psa ! Robby
