A couple of Type Sets completed

Just completed my Circulated and Circulated with Variations Type Sets.

After a couple more updates it'll be time to move on to something else.

Who knows, maybe a nice Merc set. Then I can get a T-shirt too. image

  • Congratulations! Mercs are great and I wouldn't want to dissuade you from them. Extending the type set back in time would be neat too, IMO.

    Dam,
Congrats! You have moved up pretty quickly. Just curious if you are going to keep your set for some time or sell it off as others have, when you move on to another series? Does High Desert have too high of a % to even concider knocking him out?

    Sorry Bill. image

    Carl,

I'm going to continue my CNS Set as well. I'm also looking forward to the addition of the Basic Type Set. I understand this set is supposed to be added at some point.

    Ken,

As a collector I don't normally sell my coins. Occassionally I'll sell one I've upgraded. I did sell a pop one coin not too long ago, which now resides in a finest known set. I figured it wasn't doing me as much good as it would the new owner. Also, I'm considering selling my Two Cent set. I started that set about 13 years ago. I think it might be time to let someone else have some enjoyment out of the coins.

As for High Desert... competing with that set would happen only if I hit the lottery, or my stocks quadruple in the next year. image

Nice job. You've got me beat by about a point on both sets!

Great job Dam. Another couple of upgrades and you can pick me off. You can probably do it as my focus is more on proof than on cs. Though it is tempting to think about picking off Kimo.image

Thanks Greg. That MS66 Indian was tough to find. I had all but given up. Perhaps two more upgrades and I may call it quits.

There's some nice circ and proof coins available on the market now. The problem is, I can't afford to buy them all. image It's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!imageimage

    Edited to add:

Yeah, I can see Kimo too. Just ahead.... image

Nice sets, does it bother you that there is no date field?

    Steve,

I inquired about adding the date field quite a number of months back. I guess with all the additions to the Registry, it's not an important issue.

It would make a much better presentation of a persons collection if it did show the date.

Maybe that's why David didn't answer my question on the subject last week. Let's keep asking until we get a commitment.

    Steve,

I just posted a question to DH about adding the date. Maybe we'll get some information soon.

    Bill,

I'm afraid HD is in a "No passing lane".

If that set gets passed it won't be by me. image

    DAM,

It's nice to see that HRH responded to your question (he didn't respond to my question on the same subject last week), I hope BJ gets to it soon.
