The only thing that I'm doing is sending in enough 1972 OPC Baseball to get me over the 50% mark in that set which qualifies me for "a certificate!". Since I'm at 49+% right now - its not much of a stretch. But, this way I get to win virtually a 3 horse race where one horse is dead and the other is stuck in the paddock!

  • Nothing... I am nnot turned on by getting a certificate ... I am only trying to complete my set in my original goal... (which is usually PSA 8). If my set happens to be the best wonderful....if not I tip my hat to the person who beat me and am happy with my set...

  • FB: I think Luxurywines is suggesting you get turned on at the idea of a certificate! image I guess for me it would depend on who's picture is on it.

  • So how does that work?

You get a certificate for being over 50% complete; then

You get a certificate for best in a particular set?

And if your real good or have lots of money you get a HOF icon?

    Jeff,

Don't get me started on the certificate fettish thing...

    Dale,

You only qualify for a certificate if you're the leader of a particular set. And if you don't have 50%, you don't even get the certificate. And real good/lots of money for an HOF icon - that sounds about right. Just check out Mickey Mantle or Geroge Steinbrenner.
