  • I submitted 5 submissions under the modern bulk criteria which means a 45 business day turnaround.

    Lot 1 - Received 07/31/03 - Sent and Posted 08/27/03
    Lot 2 - Received 08/20/03 - Sent and Posted 09/02/03

    but what happened to this:

Lot 3 - Received 08/06/03 - Not sent or posted
    Lot 4 - 08/30/03 - Not received yet
    Lot 5 - 08/30/03 - Not received yet

What happened to lot 3 which was sent way earlier than lot 2?

But, I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the turnaround.

  • (57) 10's out of a 200 card submission on what has come back. Not too bad for very early 80's cards.

  • I submitted 5 lots, all with 30 day turn arounds:

Lot 1: Received at PSA 8/8, posted 8/21 by PSA, yet I received them on 8/20. Great service, but what's with the late posting?
Lot 2: Received at PSA 8/8, not posted by PSA or received by me. Kind of inconsistent since they processed Lot 1 above so fast.
Lot 3: Received at PSA 8/13, not posted by PSA or received by me.
Lot 4: Received at PSA 9/2, not posted by PSA or received by me.
Lot 5: Received at PSA 9/4, not posted by PSA or received by me. Yep, today. We'll see.

mine were received: 08/28/2003 grades posted: 09/04/2003 shipped: 09/04/2003 but the grades are terrible. I know that everyone says this but the grades are all far lower than they should be. one I know is a 9 got an 8, one that was a sure 7 got a 5, another that should have been a 8 and got a 5. when they come I may crack and resend them to some other company to see what they get there. this is not right.

I recently sent 2 submissions. One came back in 5 days (non sport special) and one took 4 weeks (bulk modern). Even the 4 weeks isn't too bad. I am happy with the grades. My bulk one had about 50 1975's and I can tell that the grader honestly graded them. I've had batchs that come back almost entirely 8's. 8's are pretty average with 1975's so it kinda seems like the grader just throws tons of 8's to get through the batch. This one had mostly 8's with some 7's and some 9's. I even got some low pop 8's and a low pop 9.
  • The turnaround time for my last modern bulk invoice was very good. Invoice 8041569. Received on 8/20 and posted on 8/28. The grades were excellent as well. 10% PSA 10's including a 1978 Willie Stargell and a 1980 Jim Rice. Other than some upper left corner dings that weren't there when the cards left my hands, I'm pleased.

  • I sent two submissions together, both received on 8/26. One was vintage non-sport commons on the August special. I expected a range of 7s and 8s. Grades were posted on 8/29, shipped on 9/2. Nienteen 8s, one 7 and one 6, much better than I expected.

The other submission was modern, and I'm still waiting for news.

    I submitted a 10 card vintage lot of stars and semi-stars at the 10 day turn-around price ! Cards were recieved 8-27 and my cards were shipped 9-3 - only 7 days ! My grades were ( 1 ) 9 - ( 6 ) 8 - ( 1) 7 and ( 2 ) 6's ............ Only disappointed about one card that came back a 6 , the rest are what I thought I might get , thou the 9 had a super shot at being a 10 ! Very happy with results and service ! Robby

Frank, have you gotten into the 1980 Topps set? That's about the only one from that era that you haven't started yet.

I too sent in a 10 card vintage submission that was received on 8/28. It graded out yesterday (9/4) and its on its way back as I write this. I was hoping for at least one 9, but I'll settle for only 1 - 7 and one not graded for recoloring.

  • How do you guys get such good turn around times? I sent in a modern bulk, recieved on 8/13/03 nothing since. No grades posted, no shipped, nothing.......obviously they can take up until the 45 days, but come on....invoice is #4072849 ........do I have to slip extra money into the graders or something? LOL
  • WabittwaxWabittwax Posts: 1,984 ✭✭✭
I knew a guy who "accidentally" dropped a $20 bill in with a submission. They kepy his money and gave him crappy grades. I was laughing my head off. Maybe he shouldn't have been such a cheap a$$ and dropped a larger bill in.
  • is it Possible that the better turn around times
are, At least for now, due to a drop in submissions
that was caused by the Sept. 1st deadline to Jion the
    Collector's Club?

  • PSA will see a decline in the # of submissions. I dont think that would have an impact for at least a month or 2. It will take time , people like me sent befor the deadline and the nationals a few weeks ago will keep a good flow. But come Nov after BASEBALL is over I think we will see submissions steadily decrease. My .02...fyi My order from 8/27 hasnt been completed, not that it should be by PSA guidlines.

I agree with Vineyards assessement ! Myself , my membership was about to expire for the current year , so I thought I had better send some cards in to be graded before the deadline ! I plan on renewing my membership , as I still want to be able to submit cards and check out the online POP REPORTS ! Robby
