Quick Ebay/Esnipe Question...

jomjom Posts: 3,483 ✭✭✭✭✭
I don't do a lot of Ebay buying so I have a question: If the auction has a starting price of, say, $100 dollars and I put in a Esnipe bid maximum of $125 and at the time my bid goes in (say, right before the end of the auction) there still isn't any bidders, what will my bid go in as? The next highest above $100 OR will it be $125?

Just wondering.

It should go in at the starting bid if there are no other bidders.

E-snipe will enter it as 125.00, but the e-bay system will only record 100.00 because of no previous bids.
  • Jom,

    What they said...

Basically, it logs into eBay for you and places a proxy bid for you, just as if you were dropping in the bid yourself. It just does it at a very late time in the bidding.
