  • Ken - it looks like it might CAM - there's weakness in the frost on the face and on the bell - hard to judge hairlines and rub marks from the picture.

It looks like it should cam, but with PCGS right now they are being awefully tight on cam/dcam coins. They could bone you due to the fade toward the bottom of Franklin's bust and the top of the bell. In my book, it should be a cam all the way, but they are being really weird.

If those are milk spots on the obverse and reverse in the fields a 66CAM, if not looks like a good shot at 68cam, as long as there are no hairlines.

I like the looks of that Franklin... But I think proofs are impossible to grade from a image....... The Frost is a tad weak for DCAM, but, what I cannot determine from the image is the depth of the mirrors which, if deep and strong enough, this can carry a coin to DCAM status and is a must on any DCAM coin......

Your coin is a lock CAM.... I would send it in...

Here is a just shot photo of my 63 PR68DCAM which I made from a raw coin:

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • The coin is being sent in on Tuesday for grading. I'll definetely let everyone know. It's going in with a 67 SMS Kennedy and a 64 Proof Kennedy.......Ken
  • Well I have a bad habit of undergrading...... but I say it will be 67, but what level of CAM I have no clue because Lucy is dead right. You have a hard life cameo in photos.... To be honest, if the lighting was just right in that photo. everyone here would swear it was DCAM.

I wish you the best my friend.
