Home Buy, Sell, & Trade - U.S. Coins

I got one :)

A board member recently had an ANACS MS65RD for just under $30, and while I was being dumb, someone else hit the BIN image

Does anyone else have a 64 or 65 RD slabbed by one of the following at or below $30?

PCGS
NGC
ANACS
ICG

I don't want a really baggy coin, I just want a nice example, but I don't want to pay the prices that 66's and above are getting.

Thanks,

    Jeremy-

You can still often get MS66 coins for $35.00 or less. I have seen several MS64/5 on eBay that closed at less than $25.00. I will keep an eye out for you if you want.

I had one that came back from ANACS as MS64RED, but it is not for sale. That one was my Burger King speciman. image

Thanks Rampage image I just want one DD in my collection, and a chance to practice closeups and image layouts with a slab, so a 1995 is the cheapest out there.

    Jeremy-

    I was doing some searching.

Dukie just sold an MS65RED for $29.00 on eBay. There are several others on there right now graded by ANACS. You may want to just try to win those.

It seems odd that allot of ANACS graded MS66REDs are going for more than NGC or PCGS graded pieces. I have noticed this trend for the past several months while looking at these 1995 DDOs.

I have 9 MS65 and MS66 DDOs graded by PCGS that are in the green holders. I has those graded myself back in 1995. image

An ANACS MS62RB sold for $30.00 which is a rediculously high price when you can buy a nice 64RED or higher for the same price, but anyway.......I will still keep an eye out for ya.

    Cheers, Richard.

Dukie's is the one I'm kicking myself over... I see the 66, and am thinking about it...

Does PCGS slab Die 2, 3, etc? ANACS marks it as Die 1, which may be a premium as it is known to be the strong one.

    Jeremy,

You will find many on eBay that only say Doubled Die Obverse in ANACS slabs.

You will also see some that say DDO FS-040 Die 1 in ANACS slabs.

PCGS only slabs them as Doubled Die Obverse.

All of mine that are in ANACS slabs are labeled as: DDO FS-040 Die 1 I have two in MS66 and one in MS64 (BK coin)

    Hope this helps.

    Richard.

So a PCGS or NGC DD could be only a minor double die, and not the mucho grando one?

    Jeremy-

The PCGS slabbed ones that I have all look like the ANACS one. I guarantee they are Die 1. In fact, my 2 MS66 ANACS ones were from the same batch, only I never got those slabbed until a few months ago.
