1. 1864 Half Dollar Struck In Aluminum and grading PCGS-PR67!! JUDD-393. Obverse is regular Liberty Seated die of the year and the reverse is similar to regular issue die except with motto IN GOD WE TRUST in ribbon above eagle (type adopted in 1866). Transitional pattern produced at the Mint at a later date. Just (2) coins slabbed at both PCGS and NGC combined for this R-8 pattern - this being the finest graded of the (2) coins. This coin lists at $16,500 in PR65 grade in the latest Pattern book. This coin is (2) grades higher than that and is offered at $20,995.
2. 1877 Silver Half Dollar grading PCGS-PR65!! JUDD 1535. Obverse is Barber's Liberty Head with coronet and wheat and cotton. Reverse is Barber's small Heraldic Eagle. Perhaps just (2) coins known to exist (a PR60 and this gem PR65 coin). This R-8 lists at $55,000 in the latest pattern book and is offered at $46,995.
3. 1877 Silver Half Dollar grading NGC-PR65RD!! JUDD 1539. Obverse is Barber's Liberty Head with Phrygian cap. Reverse is Barber's eagle holding Shield on pedestal. (2) coins graded at NGC and PCGS. This R-8 lists at $36,000 in the latest pattern book. Keep in mind this is a RED designated coin as well and is offered at $34,995.
