......of the chopmarked trade dollars that is - the 1873-P [the 78CC is the King] is now available. These come along once in a blue moon. This coin is a nice PCGS VF35 - better detail than that but probably lightly polished - and is the second finest graded [out of two!]. About a dozen chops nicely spaced on the reverse [including one test mark in the mintmark area - other diagnostics confirm its status as a P mint coin] and 4-5 on the obverse including a rare swastika mark.
This coin is not available first come, first serve as I know of at least three members who wish to own it. I am requesting a PM from interested parties stating: 1) their bid for the coin , and 2) a paragraph on why they like chopmarked trade dollars and what their collecting goal is in this area. I reserve the right to pass on the highest bid if I prefer.
I've only seen two 73-P's in 6 years of looking for chopmarked trade dollars. I suggest a minimum bid of $500. Good luck!

Pretty cool Idea! Do you have a deadline for submission of bids and statements?
