1970 Topps Baseball SMR

I just noticed that the SMR for this set has been updated to include PSA 10 pricing!?!?

I'm not sure if this was intended to be added to this set, as it appears to be a mistake.

Example:

Singles 1-546 are priced at $450
Singles 547-633 are priced at $150
Singles 634-720 are priced at $250

The first 13 cards in the set also have individual pricing, which I know is a mistake - considering that a #1 World Champions Mets PSA 10 is priced at $150 while a PSA 9 is priced at $400????? Again, if anyone can successfully submit these cards and receive these grades, I am willing to buy at 2-5+ x SMR.

Oh, did I mention that there are currently no PSA 10's of any card 1-13?

I don't think PSA needs to include PSA 10 pricing for any issue prior to 1976. These prices are all over the place and will never be truly reflected in a "price guide". Get rid of the PSA 10 column in SMR for these issues - it's just not relevant.

Sorry for another SMR slamming thread, but it just seems to be more out of touch with reality every time I look at it, regardless of which set I'm looking at.

JEB.

So in the spirit of Davalillo, let me quote our long lost friend:

"I just continue to find it amazing that the president of psa is content to put out a publication that is loaded with misleading prices and that he refuses to dedicate any resources to making it better."

Don't you miss him....It just gives you a warm feeling inside....

Only kidding around Davalillo...if you are out there.......image
