Card says PSA 9, Registry says PSA 8

I bought the 1969 Topps Steve Carlton PSA 9 from Superior and it looks great. When I list it in the Registry though it is coming up as an 8. Has anyone had a similar experience?

  • i have a couple cards like that. contact PSA, they will instruct you to sent them the card in question (they need to verify it in person) then they will change their database to show the grade on the card.

  • Contact Gayle or BJ and be prepared to provide a scan of the slab

I had this situation last week. I contacted SetRegistry, and Cosetta asked me to provide a scan of the card to show the Operation Manager. The next day it showed up corrected in the registry. You do not need to send the card to them.

Hmm, I also had this situation last week, and they asked me to send the card in. Sometimes they does, and sometimes they doesn't.

I've had this happen several times, and only a scan was required. It was taken care of within 24 hours. image

    Actually...

If you won it from Superior - just call Chris Porter. I had the same issue with a 72 PSA 9 that I had purchased from him that came up as a 7 on the registry. After I called him - it was fixed in 24 hours.

because it happened to me too with a Superior card.
  • That is a bit odd with this happening in Superior auctions. Thanks for the advice all.
