Hooray!! Finished my 1st registry set!!

I finally got 100% complete on a registry set: Modern Proof coins.
It may be 15 out of 15 completed sets, and the only one with a
weighted GPA under 70 (it's 69.25), but I'm happy!! image

(Now if PCGS would just extend the mint and proof sets past 1900!)

I also have happy news with respect to the "free submissions". All I
needed to finish the set was the silver Ike dollar, so I bought a 3 piece
1976 silver proof set, and sent the 3 coins in for the free gradings. The
Ike came back 68DCAM (I'm very happy with that), the Kennedy came
back 69CAM (higher than I expected!) and the quarter came back PR67.
Not bad for a cheap 76 3 piece proof set and only having to pay postage.

    Nice Job!

I'm really HAPPY! I am no longer the lowest graded complete set!

Trouble is you'll start upgrading and be crawling up my tail pipe soon....

  • Brian, don't worry about that just yet. I plan to focus on getting a 1872-CC dollar and a
1872 proof half to complete my non gold 1872 set before I put any serious effort into
upgrading the modern proof set. (Although I would like to increase my DCAM percentage.)
