Congratulations to Rob DeLorimier for completing his 1971 Topps Baseball Set

I think we can say "WOW!" on this one. Great job Rob! That's a tough set with those black borders!

    Outstanding effort Rob!

1971 Topps is my "birth year" set...and I have been too much of a wuss to tackle it. I will keep an eye out for #536 for you as well.

Nice work Rob. Now that you've built one of the toughest mainstream Topps sets, the rest should be easy! image

  • Double kudos!! Twice as many colored borders vs. my '63 set, not to mention 176 more cards. I can't imagine the patience and persistance required to complete it in high grade. YOU DA MAN!!!
  • Congratulations Rob

Speaking as one who was not man enough to ever complete the set, my hat is off to you. The fact that you submitted so many youirself speaks highly of your determination.

    Well Done!

  • Sorry for not responding sooner, but I've been out of town.

Thanks for all the kind words regarding my completion of this set. However, it will never be truly complete. I still am looking for 2 cards in 8 (#294 Dunning; #536 Raymond); if anyone has these, I'd love to hear from you! I am also always looking to upgrade when I can do so at a reasonable price.

I must say however that it does feel good to get as far as I have!
