Is this date hard to get a cameo half in? Any added value, other than greysheet price for the proof set?

1959 is one of the most difficult years for cameo in the Franklin Half Dollar. The dies were pretty shot by then, and were re-tooled the following year.

I have a friend that just bought one after years of searching proof sets and trying to make one on his own. He paid $425.00 for a PCGS Proof 67 Cameo.

My scanner isn't the greatest, and would not pick up the cameo...White coins seem pink on my scanner..

This post has me thinking, about something I,ve been meaning to do. Go through all my proof sets and jot down
just what I do have.
Maybe I,ll compile a list of anything that pops up and relay the list here for opinions of values etc...

I would not send any cameo coin to NGC, They seem to be much more critical and for some reason cameo coins don't look good in those white slabs. IMO

I think the best thing to do is simply sell the set to me..... see, then you will have no more worrys.....

You could sell the proof set to me for more and I would be plenty happy to have NGC grade the Cameo Franklin!
