New Memorial Lincoln Variety?

Okay, I'm anything but a variety expert but I have a few BU 1984 Lincoln's that are fully struck first strike type coins and on the reverse the memorial barely shows any Abe siting in this throne. I mean these coins rock in terms of overall quality - the best in the entire series pre 2002 and Abe is perfectly missing except for the bottom half of his legs. This might be a 3 legged Buffaloe type of die thing? Any opinions?

    Mark,

Can you get some pics? 1984 Lincolns were pretty nasty anyway, maybe a variety could perk up their image? Dave

David, I tried but my digital camera just does not have the horsepower to get it done. I assure you, these are not nasty in way they are superb+++ and Lincoln is missing except from the knee down. It's a real clean cut too with well defined stumps. If i send it in to David hall, what shall i propose for the name? Missing Lincoln Reverse?

Actually, when you pair it with the Illinois quarter, he is complete again!

LOL! That's the best one I've seen here in a long time!

Mark, what is the ratio of the "missing Lincolns" to those that show the full sculpture? If I can find one, I think my camera will be able to pick up the detail (or lack of it).
